Our Canvas Prints
All our canvas pieces are 385gsm museum grade, 100% cotton canvas with a matt finish.
We varnish the canvas to protect the pigments in the colours from fading and avoid minor scuff marks.
We do this to give you the choice when displaying the artwork.
With all our work we aim to make the best possible product! We work with a local studio to bring our artwork into the real world.
Why we use giclée prints
Giclée is a pigment-based ink. The ink is made of solid particles suspended in a liquid that will bond with the fibres of the cotton.
The pigments produce better colour stability compared to a dye-based print that is more resistant to fading.
Hand Stretched
Hand stretching a canvas involves carefully positioning the fabric over a stretcher frame and securing it to ensure a smooth, taut surface. It is important to us have crisp and tight corners and an evenly stretched canvas. We believe that if we perfect the details we will perfect the whole.
Why the canvas is varnished
We have add two coats of varnish to every piece we produce to help protect them for years to come.
The varnish helps to protect the piece from the environment they are displayed.
By adding this proactive shield we protect against dust, dirt and UV damage.
The varnish will also make the pigment in the ink pop more.
